Recovery Housing Works – You Can Help
Whole Living Recovery opened the doors of their first recovery home on April 1st of this year. The journey this far has been amazing.
“Recovery housing is characterized as a safe and healthy living environment that promotes abstinence from alcohol and other drugs and enhances participation and retention in traditional clinical treatment. Residents benefit from peer support and accountability, and gain valuable relapse prevention, case management and employment skills training as they transition to living independently and productively in the community.” Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS)
Our first 6 months have proved to be extremely rewarding. We obtained our non profit 501c3 status, we welcomed our first residents including one sweet baby and we connected with many agencies to provide needed services.
We need your help for continued success and growth. The Big Give is the perfect time to show your support. For 26 hours your tax deductible donations will be increased on a pro rata basis. The Columbus Foundation, its family of donors, and corporate and community partners have provided a Bonus Pool, encouraging everyone to support nonprofits they care about. This means every donation we receive will be increased. In addition, there will be no fees assessed for your giving: 100% of your donation will go to Whole Living Recovery.
